Brief
Introducing AI-automated oven, that detects the food and size inside the oven and recommends the best way to cook it. My challenge as a UX designer is to make this AI functions proactive, so that the user can exploit the features without even wondering how it works.
User flow
I divided the user cases into 3 scenarios.
1. Pro scenario
we offer manual setting mode where a user can set up all the professional, customizable settings.

2. User centered scenario
We offer a step by step guide following the human way of thinking.
Instead of asking technical questions, user will select from a curated questions crafted from research data

3. AI scenario
Along with both other two scenarios, AI is always working in the back end and step in anytime to offer a timely help, based on the data detected (inside oven camera, sensor) or the user behavior.

Wireframes
I began with creating wireframes.
My biggest interest was how to make the AI scenario seamlessly collaborate with other two scenarios.

Visual Concept
The inspiration is from the early 20th-century new typography style.
It represents the rational, concise, seamless beauty of the AI oven.

I also considered how the interface will look on the product.
The final look on the product will be like the interface is a key piece of the pitch black product CMF, that shines out from inside, naturally creates hight and contrast with a great beauty and affordance.

UI Highlight - AI mode
I fixed the AI area on the left.
No matter which scenario user is working on the AI can always give you recommendations.
